The Academy is the whole environment.
A year-round developmental home. Skill work, competition, film, and a written plan, coached by people who have watched the player long enough to know what they need next.
Membership
$395 / month
Year-round. Month to month.
Grades 3–8 · Ranney School, Tinton Falls, NJ · Enrollment reviewed on a rolling basis.

What membership includes
One system, several parts.
Each part exists because the others need it. Skill work without competition has nowhere to go. Competition without film repeats itself.
- Skill Development
Technical work built around what the player is being asked to do in games: footwork, finishing, handling, shooting mechanics, contact, and the movement and strength work that supports it.
- Game-Based Development
Players learn through guided play, where each possession asks them to read, decide, and adapt with a coach close enough to help.
- Film Review
Games and selected practices are filmed. A coach walks the player through decisions, spacing, and habits they cannot see while playing.
How film review works → - Development Plan
Written, specific, and revisited. Two or three priorities at a time, so the player and the family know what is being worked on and why.
- MPBC Teams
MPBC teams train inside this system. Every Academy player is seen by the coaches forming rosters, and Academy is the right environment whether a player is on an MPBC team, competing elsewhere, or not competing yet. Academy membership itself does not create or purchase a roster spot.

Why Academy
Programs each work on their own. What a membership adds is continuity: the same coaches, the same plan, and film that accumulates into a record of how a player is actually developing.
Talent develops at different speeds. The Academy is built so a player can arrive on their own schedule and still be coached well.
Admissions
Academy enrollment is rolling.
There is no single tryout date and no combine. Players start by training with us in a real development environment. A Skill Development session or individual work. That is where our coaches come to understand the player, recommend a pathway, and tell you honestly whether the Academy is the right fit.

Talk with usAcademy is not a waiting room for a roster
Plenty of players are here because it is the right development environment, including players who compete somewhere else. A player can be ready for the Academy well before they are ready for a particular roster, and not being on a team does not slow their development down.
How teams work →Evaluation is continuous, not an event. Coaches gather evidence across sessions, live play, and film, and when a formal assessment is useful, it happens individually or in a small group rather than as a separate purchase.
Grouping
How players are grouped
By stage and by what a player is working on, not strictly by age, and never by who has been here longest. Groups are reviewed each cycle, because a player who was placed correctly in September may not be in January.
- Grade bands set the room; readiness sets the group inside it
- Players move up mid-cycle when they are ready, without waiting for a season
- If a group outgrows what the staff can coach, we add a coach or add a session
What membership does not include
Said plainly, up front
- A roster spot. Team selection is a separate decision, based on readiness, fit, roster construction, and commitment.
- Competition and uniform costs. Team costs are billed separately per season, so members who are not on a roster are not paying for someone else's schedule.
- Travel. Families arrange their own, and we keep the calendar deliberately modest.
- Exposure or recruiting. No rankings, no scout promises, no claim that one summer decides anything.
- Advisory. The 90-day family engagement is its own thing. Advisory →
Questions
Straight answers
Can my player join mid-season?
Yes. Enrollment is reviewed on a rolling basis and membership is month to month. Roster availability is a separate question, and we will be direct with you about it.
What if my player is in a school season?
They attend less and we adjust the plan. The school team comes first during its season, and the coaching staff coordinates around it rather than competing with it.
Is the Academy only for advanced players?
No. Players train in environments suited to their stage, and the standard of coaching does not change with the level of the player.
Do we need the Academy, or can we pick single programs?
Either works. Programs run on their own for families who want one specific environment. The Academy is for families who want the whole system and a coach carrying the plan. Many families start with a program and join later. View programs →
